Maximus is pleased to be offering a series of events to look at the future of Leadership Development in Australia. As a result of the end of the resources investment boom, Australian organisations and their leaders face unprecedented challenges: they must think more innovatively and strategically, and they must work harder to engage employees and demonstrate their own integrity. Our analysis shows that the current state of leadership development is not sufficient to meet these challenges and could be failing to position the country for the future.

Our research shows the current approach to Leadership Development in Australia has too little connection to strategy, too much emphasis on the top executive level, too few modalities for a rich learning experience, and too little content linked to the areas of leadership that are known to be critical.

Join us for a for a 1.5-hour session where we’ll explore a number of new ideas at the cutting edge of leadership development, designed to curb the trend. You’ll hear from the authors of our research paper, Ryan Dixon (Masters in Business Admin (Yale) and BS Management), and Dr. Nora Koslowski (PhD in management, BA (Hons.) in applied psychology). You’ll also hear from leaders from top Australian companies, on how they are facing these challenges, and you’ll have the opportunity for networking and discussion.
