TRANSFORMATION LEADER. CHANGE STRATEGIST. CULTURE ARCHITECT.

Joanna Wyganowska

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

A transformation leader who turns complexity into clarity and equips organisations to change at scale.

Joanna specialises in the people side of enterprise transformation, shaping cultures, enabling digital and data adoption, and building the leadership capability required for change to take hold. With over 20 years of experience across private enterprise, government, higher education and not-for-profit sectors, she has delivered award-winning programs and measurable organisational impact.

Before joining Maximus, Joanna led high-stakes transformation and culture programs for iconic Australian organisations including QLD Treasury, Westpac, AMP, Wesfarmers and Suncorp. She has driven significant revenue uplift, enterprise-wide digital adoption, and large-scale culture resets, grounding her work in psychology, neuroscience, behavioural science, and human-centred design.

Joanna works at the intersection of human behaviour, organisational systems, and digital capability. She partners with executives to reshape operating models, align leadership, and build environments where people can innovate with intent. Known for her ability to bring structure to ambiguity, she enables pace without losing people and helps leaders shift from running the system to reshaping it.

Joanna enables transformation. She supports leaders to create the clarity, alignment and momentum required to move from strategy to execution, and from aspiration to sustained behaviour change.

Joanna builds capability. With a background as a registered psychologist and an extensive track record in large-scale change, she equips leaders and teams to adopt new ways of working, embrace digital capability, and create cultures that accelerate performance.

Lasting transformation requires understanding how people think, feel and act, which is why psychology sits at the centre of my work.
